All,
I was having problems compiling the cvs version from scratch and
eventually tracked it down to the fact that the autotools cache files
in CVS were inconsistent with the versions I have on my machine. I am not
sure that we should really have the output of autotools in CVS at all, but
since I presume that they are in there for a reason, I have not removed
them. Instead, as at least a temporary work around, I have added a line
to autogen.sh which blows away the old cache. I think a better long term
solution is to remove the output of the various autotools from CVS.
Thoughts?
