OK since I first mentioned lava here, I'll bring it up again. I started a thread here: http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5183 and it was met with a reasonable positive response. If there are no objections I'll add the lava with the canyons 'fix'... If there are any, well, I wont (I'm not in love with the lava or anything).
He he, after this I leave the terrain system alone until 1.0 before you all start thinking I've discovered a shiny new toy :)
