Ok, here's an improved version for Ivanovic to post: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The Battle for Wesnoth Developer Team is pleased to announce a planned international Wesnoth conference: *Wesconf*! The idea of the meeting is to gather developers and players interested in BfW development in one place, where we could discuss matters related to the game's future development, have some Wesnoth-related presentations, make bug-hunting and coding sessions, play some games and so on. A detailed plan of the conference is to be worked out in the near future, but bear in mind we'd like to get some serious work done, rather than simply play a grand MP tournament. As such, testers with their own hardware (Windows PCs and Macs!) who could help us by verifying old bugs, testing hot fixes and suggesting improvements on place are more than welcomed. :-) Details: -------- Planned location: Dortmund, Germany Planned time: Mid/Late August (aiming for 26-31 August), 3-4 days long You can find more information on the dedicated wiki page [http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Wesconf]. Feel free to add yourself to the list of attendance if probability of you showing up is *high*. Keep in mind, that you should be able to afford a place to stay and food/drinks. Also, you should bring hardware (laptops with wlan?) with yourself, as support from the University of Dortmund is going to be limited. If you can take more than one, it might be very helpful and most welcomed. We're also looking for helpers from Dortmund area, who could help by finding good&cheap places to stay for guests, prepare directions for foreign visitors and so on. Apart from that, we need input from everyone with experience in organization of such meetings (any lawyers here?). Hopefully, we can make it happen. :-)" ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- regards Karol 'grzywacz' Nowak -> Jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -> WWW: http://jabba.pl/grzywacz _______________________________________________ Wesnoth-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wesnoth-dev
