Eric Raymond did a lot of work on a program to catch various simple errors in campaigns. I would expect there to be a lot less glitches with the 1.4 versions of the campaigns than there has been in the past. Also, judging by commit messages, there seems to have been a number of changes to improve the quality (in play experience) of the existing campaigns.
