Hello, I'm a Computer Science student from France. This year, I did both an engineering degree (ENSIMAG <http://ensimag.grenoble-inp.fr/>) and a Master of C.S. spec. in Artificial Intelligence and Web<http://www-ufrima.imag.fr/spip.php?article479>. I am currently doing my Master's research internship at National Institute of Informatics <http://research.nii.ac.jp/il/> in Tokyo and I have to submit a (yet unwritten) paper on Friday (3rd of April) to ILP<http://www.cs.kuleuven.be/%7Edtai/ilp-mlg-srl/index.php>so I'm kind of busy right now. I know C++ from previous projects (1 year major in algorithms and parallelism with full C++ applications at school, Logic Unification project in C++ and an internship at Probayes<http://www.probayes.com/>with C++ and Python) so I think I will be OK for that technical part. The language I'm the most confident with is Python as I do most (some of them<http://github.com/SnippyHolloW/>) of my personal projects in it. I will normally begin a Ph.D thesis in Bayesian programming <http://emotion.inrialpes.fr/BP/> (site of my Ph.D advisor<http://emotion.inrialpes.fr/BP/spip.php?rubrique61>) in september. Anyway, there is a more complete resumee on the gsoc application site <http://socghop.appspot.com/document/show/user/shw/resume>and there is also a lightweight web page with my CV (resume) on it<http://snippyhollow.free.fr/>.
I just wanted to ask you if: 1) You still accept proposals for GSoC (the AI part is the one interresting me the most) ? 2) You will consider ranking applicants later on next week ? Because my application will be poor for the 3rd as I have this upcoming paper but I can work on it this week-end and beginning of the week and I should be able to give you more details ! I think that you have to rank applications before the 14th ? Just guessing ... Thanks for reading until here ;) Best regards, Gabriel -- 3rd and last year Student at ENSIMAG last year Master of Informatics, spec. AI and Web http://www.flickr.com/snippyhollow
