Hi, I'm a long inactive WML guy-- I originally wrote TROW, was pretty active in the 'WML wangling' for the still fairly current Drakes, and I touched a fair amount of other WML in a number of campaigns and some of the more commonly shared WML bits. I left the project shortly prior to 1.0, for those of you who aren't positively geriatric. :) Much of what I've done has probably been eaten by perfectly normal churn. I won't be attending the meeting, as that's far more appropriate for current and recent contributors, IMHO.
I discovered this via LWN. But: 1.I am content to grant an exemption for TROW and any other bits of WML I touched, so long as the code is publicly available as free as in freedom software under a free licence. 2. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO SEE A FREE AS IN BEER HOSTED AND COMPILED PORT FOR THOSE WHO JAIL BROKE THEIR iDevice HOSTED IN A Cydia ACCESSIBLE REPOSITORY. I went to some pains to jail break my device because I wanted it to be open if not free, and I would love to see those of us who went to these pains be rewarded with access to this still excellent free as in freedom game. Those who a content to live in the 'walled garden' can pay for the non-demo version. 3. I would really appreciate it if the log of the IRC chat was posted as an attachment here. 4. Point #1 is in no way preconditioned on points #2 or #3. Points #2 and #3 are my $0.02 CAD. and I would like to see them addressed. But that's all. To all the current Wesnoth Devs-- Good fortunes and good luck in the future. Cheers! _James Spencer (AKA- Shade on the forums and IRC) On 23/07/2010, Rusty Russell <[email protected]> wrote: > On Fri, 23 Jul 2010 02:23:52 am Greg Boggs wrote: >> Is the meeting open to silent observers, or will a log be available on >> line afterwards? > > Frank discussion may preclude full release of the logs (or vice versa) > outside the invitees, but I volunteer to write up a summary of the > discussion and any conclusions.
