I propose adding a new page to the hotkey preferences dialog that provides a choice between both control schemes and defaults to the previous standard Wesnoth scheme. When the user attempts to change the choice, the code could try to detect whether the user has manually reassigned either mouse buttons to other actions or the relevant set of actions (Select/Move/Attack, Deselect Hex, etc.) to other buttons/keys and bring up a confirmation prompt. -- Regards Ignacio R.
