Actually, let me tell you of my success on this site.

My mother and her brothers always said that information from
Ost Preu�en was "gone" because the advancing Red Army
destroyed everything in its path, a scorched earth policy.

My mothers oldest brother died in WW1, supposedly in the
North of France, from the effects of mustard gas.  On this site,
I found him, which battle he died in, and his final resting place,
in Belgium, not the North of France.

So,  I had luck on my side for most information posted does
not have much depth.  You will see after you are able to
access the site.  And, they are always adding to it so if what
you are looking for is not there at this moment, it will be in the
future.
