I would like to ask if there is a specific rule for the inheritance of the
family farm in Westfalen? (I have a gut feeling that, like most things in
genealogy, there is *no* specific rules) ;^)
I had always thought the first born male (oldest) would inherited the farm
(like in England or the US), but not so in my ancestors case.
I am researching Delbrück, Hövelhof, Ostenland, Westerloh, and the
*youngest* male inherited the family farm.
If there was no son in the family, then would the youngest daughter inherit
the farm?
