Father,

Thanks for the experiment at Ewadri, all the respondents you informally
interviewed gave a correct clue. One can simply summarize the findings as lack
of discipline amongst the current crop of students, poor attitude towards
education and infrastructural and institutional bottlenecks. Adibo Gilbert in
my view rightly added some other factors like wanting educational facilities to
wit, outdated books, insufficient teaching materials and attitude. Embati's
prescription was a multi-prong approach. what does all this mean. As Mundua,
Azabo, Okuni and Andema have suggested, lets come up with the terms of
reference for this task force and its membership thanks that Andua is now a
confirmed member. As I opined earlier, the task force should be gender
sensitive. The sooner we do this the better. This way, we can now look at the
basic facts, the raison detre of the plummeting performance in our schools,
other point of view of the different stake holders and
the way forward. Upon getting a draft report and recommendations, we can now
convene a major conference like "Kacok Madit" in Kampala and Arua to debate the
report, adopt the same and probably come up with a frame work of implementing
the same.  Oyulu Patrick why are you quite. By the way this is one of the
Prominent Ob's of Mvara together with Tom Buruku whom I should have mentioned
in my not conclusive List.  We also need a time frame for this task force. I am
also willing to be a member of the task force if members have no objections.
