ACCOUNTANT, TREASURY 

 

Reporting to the Manager, Treasury the Treasury Accountant will be
charged with performing accounting and systems entries to support the
Bank's Treasury Management function.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

*         Preparation of contracts for borrowings / lines of credit
contracts in the system

*         Ensuring compliance with the terms of loan agreements

*         Performing accounting entries in the systems to record all
lines of credit, money market transactions and foreign exchange trading
activities

*         Preparation of  monthly reconciliations on lines of credit
between the Bank and Creditors

*         Preparation of  monthly settlement schedules

*         Ensuring appropriate accounting entries for all cash trades on
foreign currencies as per IAS and IFRS requirements

*         Preparation of  monthly schedules of unrealized gain and loss
on investments and impairment schedule

*         Monitoring positive pay results for money market transactions


*         Monitoring bank analysis fees and identify opportunities for
savings potential

*         Performing assigned account reconciliations on a monthly basis

*         Back-up Payroll Accountant and Cash Supervisor 

*         Performing special requests and projects as needed for
management

 

The Candidate should have 

*         Excellent analytical skills and  problem identification and
solving skills; and

*         Excellent communications skills (both written and oral). 

*         Demonstrable team working skills to ably provide professional
support to user departments

 

Qualifications & Experience 

*         Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or
Business Administration 

*         Professional Accounting qualification

*         Working knowledge of Flexcube and Oracle Financials

*         3 - 4 years of accounting experience within the Treasury
Management function

*         Proficient in the use of spreadsheets

*         Strong technical accounting skills

*         Solid knowledge of IFRS and IAS

*         Experience in the banking industry or financial services
sector is highly desirable

The successful candidates for the above positions will be offered 3-year
