Goodmorning John Toa Bahemuka. This is Dimba. It really sad to hear that the
amalgamation of Maracha and Terego has defeated us.Personally i donot believe
in the word defeat as finality. We have to drum up tangible and forceful reasons
for successful Maracha and Terego amalgamation.Let the Headquarter be located
at YIVU which is central. The MP for Maracha and MP for Terego. From there a
serries of Developmental programmes can be launched.Roads from Yivu to Origini
via Ombatini can be tarred. Then the roads from Yivu to Paranga via Nyadri can
also be tarred.Even the road from Yivu to Kuru in Aringa via lower Terego could
be tarred. We should be Development oriented and submissive to central
Government with broader aim channelling meagre resources for developmental
initiatives. If we continue to elect MPs who oppose blindly and follow bastard
Kizza Besigye then we will continue to wish OTRAVU or WATI to be the
headquarter then fail miserably

Dimba, the intentions of regional tier-system of Government are good for our
region and we should embrace it without any reservations whatsoever.. However,
it seems our region is not ready for the same. If only the amalgamation of
Terego-Maracha has defeated us how about a bigger Westnile? If we leave
politics out which in this case is unlikely, then it will succeed.

Denis,

I think this is a noble cause and idea. For the benefit of those who may
have missed the background to this intitiative (me inclusive) I suggest you
throw some light on How was initiated? Who are the judges who determine the
recipients? What is the annual budget for the activity? Which classes does
it cover since we are yet to get the results of PLE, O and A levels?

I raise this to ensure transparency in the system. I remember around
Christmas there was news item on radio stations in Arua where you had to
explain issues with Football Tournament you organised for sub counties in
Maracha. In the news item the querry was to check the link between the
tournament with your political ambition for Maracha constitituency. You
explanation was your aim was to promote the sport in Maracha.

In this case for the awards is there Political ambition linked to it? You
need to come out clear on this so that it guides people who want to
contribute to do so with clear mind on either side of the coin.

Jimmy Adriko
