A story to tell.....One day after being fed up and disgusted with loss of lives
and menace cats had caused them, the rats sat for a whole day meeting--a
meeting that came up with a number of outstanding resolutions to seek
sustainable freedom for rats and to guarantee future for their next generation.
One of the proposals considered best ever was to tie a bell on the neck of the
cats such that when they are within the vicinity, the rats could easily note
and escape to seek refugee. As rats jubilated over this brilliant idea, an
un-healthy looking rat raised a last minute query to fellow rats....first he
thanked the rat that came up with the idea of tying a bell around the neck of
the cat and asked who among the attendees of the meeting can volunteer to go
and tie the bell around the neck of a cat? When he asked that question, the
question sent such a strong fear of death into nervous system of everyone in
the meeting and for a short while all
rats became deaf. His pardon was sought and he asked the second time, who
among we the rats is ready to risk life for the survival and betterment of
other rats? There was no immediate answer except silence which filled the
meeting hall. Rats started staring at one another with hope and anticipation
that some body would sacrifice and volunteer but nobody did. The meeting ended
with no volunteer and since then to date, rats are still pray to their
predators (cats).

What I'm trying to say here is that we can have all these brilliant ideas,
wishes and expressions but if nobody is willing to sacrifice morally,
financially, physically, etc, we can be sure our resolve will be like that of
the rats. Realizing our ambitious goals requires each of us steps of his/her
comfort zone. We all know this and King Luther said it, "Human progress is
neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward the goal of justice
requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and
passionate concern of dedicated individuals"

Time will tell whether our dreams are such strong held dreams with passion not
to eat into our precious professionalism more so if needed to rescue our
sisters and brothers still caged in the darkest side of history.

As for Luther's sucrifice, his spirit must now be rejoicing in Obama's election
after 44x4 years of blacks' struggle. His four little children must also be
living his dreams... “I have a dream that my four little children will one day
live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but
by the content of their character."

With our dreams clearly outlined below, our children and grandchildren will
attest to how much we sacrificed.

Subject: [WestNileNet] Program Coordinator or administrator

Dear Friends.

The issue at hand  for discussion is whether we support the idea of
getting/hiring Part Time program coordinator/administrator?

According to the post by the president of WNF, we are all busy professionals in
our careers, it will take longer time to get the house in oder to register
WNF.  To coordinate meetings, start paper work for registering WNF, we need a
dedicated person to start the process immeiately.

Various issues raised below need a coordiante effort in order to achive/deliver
any tangibale results.
a) Early Childhood Education
b) Improving Quality of Education in Primary and Secondary schools
c) Deforestations, Tree Planting, educating tobacco farmers, etc
d) Water supply systems
e) Hunger, Seed distribution, etc
f) Hugher Education, Masters & PhD, etc
g) Health care Delivery, Public health educations, etc
h) Electricity and energy supply, etc
i) Urban Sanitation and environment management, etc
j) Raid Infrastructure, Bridges, etc
k) Adult Literacy Education

For us to be successful in attempting to address or improve any of these
issues, we need to consolidate our focus,  above all, some one must be
committed to work with the WNF executve team.

It is a simple Yes/No
If you support the idea, please post your commends

Avudria
