Dear Father Rufino,

Sorry that there has never been any formal report/update on the previous
events however I would like to highlight the following points which I believe
lay a good foundation for us to actaully to begin discussions on some of the
partinent issues for the way forward.

The ultimate goal that we had set ourselves to achieve out of this west nile
themenight are as follows;

* Bring members together and create a forum for informal discussions
that eventually will give another dimention/ressolution for many of the issues
discussed online

* Create an avenue for our brothers and sisters to showcase talents
(music and Drama) with the view of promoting their music/other talent in the
media which some members have access to.

* Engage diffent groups in westnile region to come up with different
cultural performances that will help us rejuvinate what many have since
forgoten or; have never know known. As has been the case, we have had
representation of the different parts of westnile dedicating different nights
to the different groupings interms of performances i.e Lugbara, Ndaara and this
time round we intend to feature the Madi power stars from Moyo plus lots more
that we shall confirm.

* We hope to get sponsors on board and any proceeds from these will be
aimed at supporting performances as well as other projects such as rewarding
best performing students in Primary, o- level and or A level.

* There has been an effort securing the theme night venue for all our
functions ranging from birth day celebrations Kasiki's, etc at reasonable costs.

* We also have a plan of having fund raising drive where given that
entrance is free to the theme nights, we ask members volunterly to drop
whatever amounts they can in a box we shall provide at the vanue which money
will help address any financial concerns decided upon my the WNF Commette.

Note that some of the above initiatives are already ongoing with some yet to be
actions should members feen it's worth the move.

Roger, you may add whatever I have left out that has been agreed upon as way
forward.

Regards,

Robert

I greet all members of the net and wish you peace of the Risen Lord.
As you continue we it the next dayith the West Nile Nights I was waiting for
some evaluation ever since the first one.
There are some members who may not want to stay out till late. Could we give
these social gatherings another modification? Say members come with their
families and start around traditional dishes from West Nile (ocakuca etc) so
that we promote these specialities? Then have a meeting on a topic of
developmenghtal or social concern while a member could keep the children busy
with story tellinsg, koyikoyi etc, then those who want to go back home and
sleep can do so around 9:30 pm or 10 pm. Those ready to shake their bones the
whole night in the dances do their paka chini?
Have a blessed week

Caleb give us updates about the registration of WNF
