ENG. Gabriel Aridru has won the Arua Municipality NRM party parliamentary 
candidacy. 


Aridru bagged 6,103, his closet rival Ratib Buga got 1,802, while Mohammad Ali 
Aluma got 65. 


Richard Andama Ferua, Jaber Andiga and Alfred Angamvile withdrew from the 
competition, citing harassment and intimidation. 


Rita Popo was elected flag-bearer for the Woman MP seat after she won with 
43,698 votes over her rivals Alice Arumadri with 42,794 and Night Ajio with 
35,452. 

In Madi Okollo county, party district treasurer Martine Drito beat his closest 
rival Ismael Alli Ogama with a narrow margin. Ayivu county elected Jimmy Ondoma 
who beat the incumbent, Margret Angufiru with 7,919 against 6,293. 


For the mayoral position, incumbent Charles Asiki won with 6,604 votes.
