Congradulations to all party flag bearers for their victory. We hope they will be able to drum very hard some of the grievances we have been chanting on this forum. For many years we have allowed ourselves to sink to the bottom of all districts in Uganda in all forms of development.
We hope the ne party bearers will share our vision, articulate issues that affect our region, pay close attention to problems that have not been addressed or allowed to decay rather than "turn on character attacks". "Character attacking" only obscures real issues. Campainers resort to buying votes from the electorate by using cheap tactics like giving sugar, salt , drinks or other favors. I hope we can grow out of this cheap politics. This kind of election only sends to the parliament people who go there to warm the benzes and do not have the capacity to articulate real problems. By sending sending weak leaders to represent us in the parliament, we only continue to sink further to the bottom of the lake, sea or you name it. It would be nice to organize a forum and hear from some of these flag bearers the issues they stand for. What changes can they bring to the region? For those who have been re-elected, what are their accomplishments? What can they deliver?
