*Electricity shortage or lack of power in West Nile* The point raised by Sam is well taken.
1) The biggest challenge we have on this forum is that some of the issues we decry only remain among ourselves on the net. We urgently need to device a mechanism where issues we raise need to reach decision or policy makers and project implementers. 2) As people from West Nile regardless of district, we are *Major Stakehoders* or *beneficiries* of any project that is understaken in the region. Therefore, if we continue to work as a team to influence change, change will come. 3) If there is/was high level consultation like Sam mentioned which was due on 30th September, If people knew about such a meeting, post the information early. Last minute information makes it difficult to prepare and present anything sensible. 4) All of us know well the disadvantages of not having very stable electricity power supply in the region. The Diesel Generators( Thermal) can only generate enough power for lighting homes, they will not supply power heavy industrial machinery that requires 24 X 7 consumption. 5) My recommendation would be for us to explore a possibility of forming a committee that looks into *Electricity Power Supply & Economic Development*. We have so much talent on this forum that we need to take advantage of. The best way to get things done is by forming small effective committees who tackle spefic issue.
