My dear gallant brothers and sisters of Westnile, thanks for the mature and
objective trend our  discussion on this forum  is taking now.I congradulate the
administrators for this wonderful initiative to guide us. However, i do in the
strongest terms dicourage un called for attarcks on our aspiring candidates
like Eng. Dr.Ajedra Aridru Gabriel who has risen up to the accasion not only to
disclose his manifesto but  have been participating  in  discussing issues of
developmental nature on this forum.

What has impressed me most is the issue of  bringing Unity among our
Politicians. Members you can believe with me  that there has been a cronic
disunity/ disharmony among our politicians along political and even individual
differences especialy for those who belong to the same party.Instead of
concertrating in addressing voters concerns they have been busy impressing
their party headquarters. This in one way  or another has cost us loss of
lobying capacity for our share of the National cake.If you borrow leaf from our
brothers and sisters in the Northern Region Despite their Political defferences
they sing the same language of Unity in the course of fulfilling  their
mamdates.

If Dr 's Manifesto is not pro people whose is then? Let them tell us their part
of the story also. I mean those who are aspiring.
Westnile has been voting parties but not Persionslities for long that is why no
sooner they reach the parliament floor they find themselves sitted tightliped
at the back bench waiting for the benefits that come with ones being in the
Parliament. Only to wake up when Elections are due. This is because they lack
vision. Shame upon them . This time we need people whom we think are able to
perform regardles of party affliations.
Lastly Doctor be firm we are behind you and those who can advocate and adress
developmental issues that that affect our communities in WEST NILE after all we
are all WESTERNERS.

Over to you.

Mickson.

Christine,

Thanks for espousing  the maturity we lack. We need to be objective while
having these discussions. It is every ones constitutional right to belong to
any party in Uganda. What matters is what the person intends to do for West
Nile. I have also noted cynicism in some of the views and opinions expressed by
some members. If Some one says he is going to Partner with Government to
attract development, why should some one question the outcome. Lets give a
benefit of doubt to these people. For starters Politics in Uganda is not easy.
To venture into politics one has to be strong, voters are like vultures they
have learn 't that Politicians are crooks, so they  want to sell there
votes. Most of the current aspirants we have are new, Lets believe they are not
tainted and lets assist them in developing what they can do for our people.
Lets not
attack them because they are in this and or that party.
