Some time, last year, we met the owners of the different buses and discussed the rampant accidents on our route. We then had a meeting with all the drivers of Gaaga, the owner, and technical staff. The meeting lasted for almost six hours we made some resolutions, the drivers gave their view. As a result we had no accidents during the festive periods. I too was shocked with the news of this accident which injured 38 people and I think 7 died. As to what happened, I understand the driver of the bus hit a cow the impact of which swerved the bus right in front of an approaching lorry. The driver then swerved back on his side not knowing that the lorry in bid to avoid a head on collusion decided to cross to the bus's original side and as a result, the lorry hit the bus tearing through a side. _______________________________________________ WestNileNet mailing list [email protected] http://orion.kym.net/mailman/listinfo/westnilenet
