Dear members,
I dont not want to comment on other things because am always very critical
but just to remind members not to worry about the Science cafe attendance in
Kampala because the kampala group members have access to information via
various media and can help themselves with it. But there are others who do
not have and they attend cafe in big numbers and that is the group Science
targets. The Saturday we had few members in Kampala, before that we had
registered 120 attendance in St. john's church in Entebbe discussing yellow
fever, and the following Wednesday, we registered 50 in women's Odu na
prayer group and another group of women predominalty Baganda and 80 in
number in Entebbe have also approached Science cafe for the same and next
Saturday we shall be there. The world is grandually catcing up on the
website so we have no cause to worry. Also to note that our regular members
in Kampala are mostly the old students of Ombahci who travelled that weeked
for their function in Arua. And you could expect the MPs to behave like that
given that they had just taken your votes. Therefore just because some of
the Kampala people or others elsewhere do not want to be part of this and
would wish to concentrate on what somebody said "PhD" strategy will not
scare us. Those who do not want to be part of good initiatives should be
left to do what pleases them according to my view.

Not everybody needs to be on board for things to move, we need just a few
dedicated people, others will always jump later or never and that is the
principle of Science cafe whose target is the rural poor with limited
access to information for their empoerement.

What I see as the biggest disease in West Nile is the use of "I,I,I,I,I,I,I"
we do not want to use "WE" and therefore lack team spirit. And we use all
our energy fighting to be "I" and "pulling" people down.We forget that
today you can pull down somebody, but tomorrow somebody can also pull you
down when you want to do something. If we used our energy for better
things, we would be very far.

Back to you members.

Christine
