INTERNSHIP (KENYA, UGANDA AND TANZANIA)
IT Power Eastern Africa (ITP EA) is the regional representative
company for the IT Power Group, and is responsible for projects in
Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, and other neighboring
countries in sub-Saharan Africa. IT Power has a strong track record of
working in the energy and environment sector, especially in renewable
energy. The company is highly competent and has a long experience of
leading renewable energy contracts in many countries and operates
under five thematic areas of renewable energy, climate change
Adaptation, environmental services, water and sanitation, education
and capacity building. ITP has completed over 1,000 projects in more
than 100 countries around the world. IT Power has extensive experience
in market research, finance, capacity building and technology
transfer, forecasts, statistical analysis and environmental assessment
and audits as well as analysis of costs between possible fuel types to
devise strategies for implementation.
IT Power invites applications for internship to fill in 2 (two)
Positions in areas of Environment and renewable energy and business
development.
Key responsibilities are assisting:
· To assist the Technical Project Officer (TPO) with adhoc project and
business development activities as may be necessary
· To assist the TPO execute all projects of ITP EA as may be assigned
· To market ITP EA and ITP Group capabilities and develop ITP EA business.
· To prepare fully-fledged project proposals and bids to international
standards for consideration by project sponsors and funders
· To continuously source the internet, the local and international
press and other relevant sources for calls for proposals and new
business openings
· To work as a developer of new projects on various renewable energy
technologies, climate change, EIAs and international development
projects of IT Power in Uganda, Eastern Africa and other countries
worldwide as may be required.
Qualifications
Degree in renewable energy technologies, Environmental
science/management or a closely related
Degree in Business Administration (Marketing Option)
Willing to work under minimum supervision
Good communication skills.
