Dear Wawa, Willy, Mary and all who have responded positively to the proposal:

Thank you for your response and concern. The very good news is that many of Dr.
Atiku's friends and former classmates have approached him directly and have
promissed or contributed towards the purchase of the artificial arm.

As there no volunteer on the ground has come forwatd to help coordinate the
projet, we encourage everyone who responded positively to please contact Dr.
Atiku directly and contribute towrds the purchase of the artificial arm.

I take it that everyone is too busy and / or the demands for voluntary
assistance at this income tax and school fees season in Uganda can be
overwhelming

Western Union and Money Gram are great avenues to send once contribution to Dr.
Atiku
directly as more funds are still needed to purchase a product that will last
longer instead.

God bless,

Charles

Dear Dr. Atiku,

I am very saddened to learn of the terrible accident which led to your losing
an arm. When I read the message, I was not certain whether you are teh same
person I knew in St Charles Lwanga Koboko in 1977 until Akonyu Akolo confirmed
that you are indeed the one. I was in S3 when you and Akonyu where in S1 but
we all played football together at the bottom of the top field near the
teachers quarters.

I have ben to Uganda a number of times but never met you; have met Sylvester
Onzivua and many other OBs over the last 20 years. However, in 1990 I met your
younger brother who was working as a military intellence officer in Arua. I had
gone to Uganda. I was unceremoniously arested by the NRA then at kept in
Giligili for a month. I remember when I met your brother, I just knew he was
your brother because he resembled you KO'BO!! Even after not seeing you since
Sept 1980, meeting your brother just brought back your image..

Anyhow, all I want say is to convey my hearfelt and sincere wishes for recovery
knowing very well that it will be a different kind of life for you. But God has
a reason for everything that is why the accident turned out the way it did
otherwise it could have been a different result! We pray for smooth transition
into your new life and understanding from family members, relatives and friends
in the years to come.

God bless and hopefully we will see each otehr when next I travel to Uganda.

Sincerely,

Data Charles Male
