Dear Draga, it is good that you and others are coming on board to help such initiatives and nobody is saying that it should only be supported by science cafe neither is anyone saying that it is only what science cafe is doing which right or good, the more the initiatives the better because they will complement each other. Science Cafe can do sensitization or information sharing and another group can do diagnostics and remember some of these diseases are not curable and if you get the right information at the right time, you can prevent the disease which is incurable so diagonistic alone is not the solution and this team correctly recognizes that.A whole range of these activities need to be done before and after diagnosis. What you have just said about "poison" needs information sharing to chnage attittudes. If I get Dr. Aldo right, he needs support from us not just merely giving him a go ahead which he already had. So it will be good of us if we can contribute towards this needed support in anyway. Our past experiences have not been particularly impressive in getting support for such initiatives and I think that is what we tried to echo.
The more we work unitedly the better for our region and our efforts should be towards enhancing unity for a purpose.
