Dear members, I take to this opportunity to let you know that medical council finally delivered decision on the findings into the inquiry of death of Mercy Ayiru yesterday and the findings reveal that Dr.Sali Tamale and all the other key persons involved in the matter are guilty of professional negligence and incompetence.
Dr. Sali is to receive a strong reprimand from the medical council, dr. Kirunda's case will be forwarded to Allied health professionals council for disciplinary action and Dr. Parker is banned from practicing medicine in Uganda for 5 years. The criminal case appeared for mention this morning and hearing starts in September. We hope that this will sound a warning for all the women and their partners who go to this facility for their various gyn problems. Atleast you have got a chance to hear, others didnt and they fell victims and this is only to save more souls from falling to the trap Thanks for all your support in this case but it is still a long journey Christine
