Dear friends, I feel obliged to commend on road block issue at Patwach. As we have been discussing issue/concerns affecting the entire WN region for the last two/three years on this forum, does this pose any kind of security threat to Uganda at all?
Issues/concerns affecting people, ordinary citizens in this region are real. Whoever denies existence of such issues people have been duscusing in this forum is simply ignorant or simply turning blind eyes to reality. Whenever you are not touched by cries or pain of someone, the person crying or complaining of pain will always appear to be shadding crocodile tears or facking pain, etc. Does freedom of movement mean other citizens from other parts of Uganda can move wherever, whenever they want and other citizens from WN districts or region are CRIMINALS, UNTRUSTED, PROBLEM CAUSERS etc? I find such attitude incredibly ridiculous , if not stupid. Why would someone/authority treat people from WN districts as if this is a war zone? What does this tell us? Do we have equal rights as much as someone from the Southern tip or Eastern tip of Uganda? After all, this region has been one of the MOST PEACEFUL PARTS OF UGANDA SINCE 1986. People from this region have focused their efforts entirely on* BUSINESS, DEVELOPMENT, CRYING FOR DEVELOPMENT & BETTER GOVT SERVICES*? is this really a crime of any sort? Why would these things offend anyone? What is the motive for the Pakwach road block? Catch what kind of criminals/thieves???
