Dear Colleagues:

This is to let you all know that The Council for Frontiers of Knowledge
(The CFK) http://www.thecfk.org/ with generous support from Tullow Oil,
Dublin and London has purchased for Makerere University a Software called
ENVI (Environment for Visualising Images). ENVI is used for Geospatial
imagery to evaluate biodiversity, detect and identify targets, plan
emergency response efforts and a variety of other applications important
to understanding the world around you. ENVI is the premier software
solution for processing and analyzing geospatial imagery and is designed
to be used by everyone from GIS professionals to image analysts and image
scientists, regardless of prior experience with imagery.

The ENVI Network Floating Academic License is installed in The CFK Africa
Office at Makerere University Main Campus, CEDAT Old Building, Wing M3,
available for use by the entire Scientific Community of Makerere
University.

On another note, just in case you have existing students who have failed
to finish their Masters or PhD studies for lack of Research Funding,
relatives, friends, neighbours or former class/coursemates, including
finalists, with the desire and resolve to do a Masters or PhD Degree, but
do not have the financial strength to meet the high postgraduate training
costs, please encourage them all to apply for this ALL Study unique
scholarship opening. Please guide all to visit: http://www.thecfk.org/
