Hello Colleagues, In a situation such as this, our hearts are pouring out for our very dear ones lost in these unfortunate accidents. Am deeply concerned as this has not been the first of such a painful scene around this stretch of the road to West Nile. Am prompted to think, otherwise, of lasting solutions, especially when it is possible to avoid deaths. As it has always been the culture, it is us to suggest possible solutions to persisting challenges impeding our great West Nile Region. These would be my most critical recommendations to our MPs in the region and the Traffic Police Department: 1. Police enforcement of a certain maximum speed limit that is safe to bring a vehicle to a stop without harm around this zone where the wild beasts exist. A case study of Rwanda, and i have seen it work, where any disobedient driver is immediately sentenced to a certain good punishment. 2. If constant policing is practically infeasible, mount road humps at certain intervals to control the speed of vehicles for safe driving.
Condolences to the bereaved families and folks and the entire region. Let us stop this similar events from occurring once and for all.
