Tragedy has struck once
again for West Nile.
Nine of 16 passengers,
most of them from West Nile, perished on Lake Victoria on the night of Tuesday,
July 23, when their boat capsized. One passenger had a life jacket, according to
witnesses.
Police say the boat was
from Kabenyanje landing site heading to Kigungu and went under near Busi. Only
one body reportedly retrieved and the search for others is underway.
The dead, according to
police, include the following (plus home district):
