Many of you will remember that the power generated from the Nyagak Project is not even enough to support INDUSTRIAL CAPACITY, Assuming there are many cottage industries that spring up in the region, this power supply won't sustain them.
I think it is very important to include the WN sub-region in the Karuma power development early in the project. Once the construction of the Dam is started and power generation developed, it will be difficult to start negotiating connecting WN sub-region to the grid down the road. If WN foundation can submit petition to include WN sub-region in the Karuma Power Project, this is the right moment to do so. Mind you it has taken over 30 years to get Nyagak working. How long will it take to connect the WN sub-region to the national grid? We could be looking at half a century or a century or never.
