We thank Allah for bringing out the truth and setting our brother free. Dr.,
take heart. Everyone can be against you for whatever reason, but so long as you
stand by the truth, the Almighty will never abandon you. Now is the turn of
your supervisors who suspended you wrongly to feel the shame and guilt.
One of the problems we have in Uganda today is that professional work is
becoming heavily politicised. Look at the CJ case, school head teachers so
called training in patriotism. May Allah guide and protect this country and its
people.

I can recall, during a church service that Dr. Onzivua attended at Christ the
King Church in Arua just a week after being charged he had told the
congregation that the truth would set him free and he on that day asked
Christians to pray for him. Thank God his prayer and believe in sticking to the
truth has set him free! However, we still need to pray for his safety because
some overzealous people purporting to act on behalf of the state could still
try to use other means to harm him. Unfortunately, the ability of our state to
distinguish between unsanctioned individual actions from official government
policy is increasingly becoming questionable in Uganda. Our friends in
government need to help the state to care about its own image and the image of
the country. This country is big enough to accommodate all of us if we all play
by the same rules!
