With much sadness this is to inform those who are not yet aware that we have
lost Mzee Samson Geria. Mzee Geria is one of the elders who has for a long time
been staying at "Maracha Quarters", Mvara Congo Zone, Arua. He is mainly
remembered in Arua to have served as a teacher at Arua Teacher Training College
in the sixties and as principle at Bishop Willys College Iganga, then as
Principle in Arua Teacher Training college from 1987 to 1997. He has been a
passionate educationist who after retirement has been involved in running some
commercial schools in Arua. He has served as board member in a number of our
Educational institutions like Muni NTC, he served as a board chairman of Arua
Regional Referral Hospital for six years till 2010. There will be a meeting to
arrange for the burial at Centenary park, Barbeque Lounge at 5.00 pm.
Thereafter, there willbe a night vigil at Mr. George Gerias Home at Kisaasi.
There will be prayers on Friday, 3rd October
2014 starting at around 1.00pm. Thereafter the body will be taken to St Pauls
Church Okuvu for overnight prayers. The casket will leave for Arua on Saturday
and burial is expected on Sunday 4th October 2014.
