Hi Bakshree di, Installing git is the only prerequisite for the workshop. Assuming you are on windows you can find the installer at https://msysgit.googlecode.com/files/Git-1.8.3-preview20130601.exe
And if you are not that familiar with irc, you might want to learn the basic commands like join, msg etc from https://wiki.mozilla.org/IRC Regards.
