Which version of wget are you using?
Are you doing an FTP or HTTP transfer?
Does the server support restored transfers?
Are you doing a recursive download or a downloading a single file?
If you are doing FTP and the FTP server supports the restore mechanism,
does it report the total file size or the remaining transfer size?
