I'm not sure why the silence, But I guess Hrvoje is busy with other stuff to look at the patch at the moment. If that is the case I suppose a courtesy reply would have been useful to stop you panicking. I've tried your patch under Linux (glibc-2.2.4) and it didn't seem to cause any problems. I also tried compiling the current CVS under Cygwin and found that I needed your patch to get it to compile, so it's not just FreeBSD that your patch applies to. I didn't bother trying your patch with a native (non-Cygwin) Windows build, as clearly it would have no effect. It appears that the IPv6 patches caused the problems, and it looks like Thomas Lussnig (the sender of the IPv6 patch) has no problems with your patch either, so I don't see any problems with your patch going into CVS as is. (I haven't quite got the authority to do that myself yet, but should have in a matter of days.)
