If you want me to go further more, tell me. I guess the "Attempt to fake the domain" messages in the debug log are the major clue as to why it isn't working. The main maintainer of Wget (Hrvoje Niksic) changed the cookie domain matching rules recently and the new rules should work better. The new rules are implemented in the current development version of Wget available by anonymous CVS.
