You might class this as a meta bug. The development of wget appears to have dropped into a black hole. I've tried to contact the developers who are named throughout the package docs but nobody seems to know where a source repository is located. Nobody seems to be guardian of this widely-used piece of software. I've signed up to the wget developer mailing list, but haven't found a clue there yet.
The development of wget seems to be non-existent so nothing can be done about items on the todo list. It's effectively dead as far as development goes. I'm prepared to make a couple of source-code contributions, but how? Regards, Jake Commander
