I am running in to something in wget that, if not a bug, may be possibly an oversight. If this is covered anywhere in the documentation I apologise, but I have been through it and I can't find any mention of this behaviour. Trying to connect to my University's FTP servers (which run Novel Netware) I find that I am unable to change to the correct server. I don't know much about Netware, so I have no idea if this is specific to my university or is common to all NW installations. Using a manual FTP session I can execute a 'cd //ls10' to change to a different server, however whenever I try this with wget (by specifying pathnames with the double slash in them) the double slash is truncated to a single slash which is an invalid pathname. If this is some quirk of my uni's set up and subsequently relevant to nobody else on the planet then I'll live with it, but I thought I'd mention it.
