Hi!

This bug is not serious, everything works but may confuse a user.

OS: RedHat Linux 8.0
GNU Wget 1.8.2

used filename: proftpd-1.2.6-1.i386.rpm

When downloading a RedHat RPM package wget shows it's type as: [audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin]
using 'file' command with -i it outputs application/x-rpm or without swicthes: RPM v3 bin i386 proftpd-1.2.6-1
Wget is only reporting what the http server tells it via the http headers; it does no file(1)-style analysis of its own. You can see the headers yourself with the -S switch.

If wget is reporting the file type wrongly, it's the http server's fault.
