I'd like to request an additional (or modified) option that waits for whatever time specified by the user, no more no less (instead of the linear backoff of --waitretry which is just a slightly less obnoxious form of hammering). Looks like it would only take a few lines of code but I can't figure out how to compile on Cygwin.
