When downloading a file, if the file changes on the
server so that the size is smaller, wget will
overwrite the partially downloaded file with the new
one. For example, if a 50 MB file is 90% complete and
the transfer is interrupted, and when wget reconnects
the file in the server changes to a 1 KB one, it will
happily download the new file and overwrite the 45 MB
file on disk. Note that this happens without user
interaction. I think this is bad behavior that needs
to be fixed. Perhaps changing it to the present one
for "wget -c" where it will refuse to download a
smaller file is better.
Thanks.
