feature request

would it be possible to add a feature to download shared samba files. 
something like
wget smb://10.132.8.9/Physics/tut1.pdf
sorry if this has already been requested and rejected for some reason. 
wget manpage says its a network downloader.
this feature would make wget complete for me.
