Thank you Nick,

both my ID's are fine , and I also go by Jon.

Yes, I tried using the 'command prompt' (thru XP) and it replied:
"
'wget' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operatable program or batch file
"

aside from leaving out a comma after "program", it seems to suggest that I need to do something first, to get wget to work. Can you suggest a solution, or even better, could you suggest a url that I could learn from?

Please, be polite...

To "learninglovinghelping" (or are you "LearningGrowingSharing"?):

wget is a command line tool and as such, needs some command line options to work. If you simply click on it, it complains about a lack thereof and exits. Try using it from a command prompt. Welcome to the exciting and wonderful world of command line tools!

I downloaded the full version, but when I click and run the exe, a command prompt opens and then immediately closes. I'm in safe mode now, but the same things happens.

please, forget about it!
