Hello,
at least one of the people on ALT Linux Team used
`wget --non-verbose' in scripts; that broke with 1.10.

Maybe it would be reasonable not to advertise depreciated
option name variations but to support them still?  Folks
doing age-old script maintenance would be thankful.

PS: BTW, thanks for merging some seemingly distro patches;
attaching a couple more that are still applied in our package.
