Error connecting to target server

Hi,   I have installed latest wget available and I tried to use wget utility. But I can establish connection to the target servers from my Solaris box. My server is behind the firewall, but when I do a ping bbc.com, it is fine.   But when I do ping other URL, there is a problem.   While installing wget, I did autogen.sh, configure, make and make install. I did not get any errors. Do I need to set up any other parameters to make sure I connect to the web urls through wget?   Appreciate any answers in this regard.   Thanks & Regards Mabu
