Subject: specifying a proxy
I’m trying to run wget on a box on which I don’t have access to set the HTTP_PROXY environment variable. I know I can put this statement in the .wgetrc file but for wget to access this file, it relies on the environment variable $HOME (which, again, I have no access to set – and if it were set I wouldn’t have access to the directory anyway).
would it be too difficult to add a --http_proxy parameter or _at_least_ a --config to specify the location of the .wgetrc?
