First, can you open the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to
see if wget is actually running? Just to make sure that wget is not using
any resources that you want to use for other things.
If wget is not running, then it is not doing
anything.
Question: do you have anti-virus, anti-spyware,
firewall on the computer in question? Did you scan for
malware?
