USERS TELL US HOW THEY DID ON THE "CREAM-PUFF" QUIZ
========================================================

Since we posted "Quiz #11: Ego-Booster" several weeks ago, we've had
almost 100 responses from people who told us how they did. Sure
enough, everyone did pretty well and most egos seemed to have been
boosted. One quiz taker said she felt like a Whiz Kid; another said
"Sure wish the MCSE exams were this simple!"

So how did everyone do? About a third said they got all answers
right; another third missed one; and another third missed two. (A
few missed three or more.) We had hoped to make the quiz even
easier, but some people were thrown by "mouse miles" and not everyone
recognized (or agreed with us) that "WYSIWG" could characterize a
program. In general, though, we're proud of you!

Today we added a new quiz, "Quiz #12: Database II," a somewhat more
difficult challenge for the database-educated. Try it at:

Understandably (since many whatis users work at managing corporate
computers or an intranet), SearchSystemsManagement.com is a Web site
that may already be familiar to you. Somewhat surprisingly, many of
the users of searchSystemsManagement seldom visit the site at all -
instead, they have information sent by e-mail. Here are some of the
kinds of newsletters they choose to receive:

+ Security Tip

They are also offering a white paper, "QoS in the Enterprise," that
you can usually download from any newsletter (or from the Web site).

Got a question now? No need to wait for the answer in the mail.
Just visit the site's forums and "Ask the Expert" feature.

Log in to searchSystemsManagement.com with the same member ID and
