TODAY'S WORD: breadcrumb trail

On a Web site, a breadcrumb trail is a navigation tool that allows a
user to see the path they have taken through a Web site's hierarchy
to reach the current page. The term breadcrumb trail comes from the
story of Hansel and Gretel, who left a trail of breadcrumbs as they
walked through the forest so they could trace their way back home.
The breadcrumb trail, which is usually located at the top of the Web
page, allows the user to click on any page in the breadcrumb trail
and go directly to that page.
