It may have been the look-up page for "Phone number" Web sites for when we couldn't remember where to look up a phone number. Or it may have been "The speed of..." because many of us then were comparing alternatives for connecting to the Internet. Soon after, 13-year old Andrew Gray sent us a note from the U.K., offering to let us house his "Every file format in the world," which we eventually acquired and have maintained ever since. At any rate, one idea led to another and now we have 55 of these Fast Reference pages (which you can always locate from the whatis.com home page).
