When I
do that, it just gives me a blank line. it does not return anything
else
After you get the result of the name of the OID,
do a "Get All Subitems" and see what's the result.

Temp from a dell server via snmp
I am trying to monitor the temp of my dell
servers with snmp. I have snmp installed and working fine. I can
monitor the temp of my compaq servers with no problem. I have the
correct oid for the temperature probe reading
1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.700.20.1.6. All I get back is the name of the
oid. Has anyone ever been able to get this info via snmp?
